ChromeOS

ChromeOS applies its secure DNS setting to the whole system, including Android and Linux apps.

  1. Open Settings → Privacy and security → Security (search for “secure DNS”).

  2. Turn on Use secure DNS and choose Add custom DNS service provider (labelled Custom on some versions).

  3. Enter:

    https://dns.opdns.net/<profile-id>/<device>
  4. Check it works.

On managed Chromebooks (school or work), the administrator’s policy may lock this setting.
