Chrome

This covers Chrome only; other apps keep using the system’s DNS. On Android, set Private DNS instead: Chrome follows it.

  1. Open Settings → Privacy and security → Security (or go to chrome://settings/security).

  2. Turn on Use secure DNS.

  3. Choose Add custom DNS service provider (or select Custom in the provider list, depending on the version) and enter:

    https://dns.opdns.net/<profile-id>/<device>
  4. Check it works.

If the setting is greyed out, your organisation manages Chrome, or Chrome detected parental-control software, and it cannot be changed here.
